"Thank you... I'm sorry though." Selena gave Luca a small smile, trying to cheer him up... She wanted him happy, smiling again... What could she do though? The city was a bit of a distraction...

Instead she bit down her own fear of his powers at his next words and shook her head. "Its not! I bet there are weirder or worse ones out there. It's not that bad, especially for people who aren't scared of blood... And you said you make some sorts of potions out of it? I am positive its fine as well. Don't feel so bad!"

Selena's other hand moved up to his cheek and she stared up in worry at Luca. She really cared for him and it was...odd to see him so melancholy about something.

"...I appreciate your words." Luca responded after a moment, having taken a short moment to digest them. She was...trying to cheer him up, he could see that.

Weirder or worse powers were out there...it was a possibility, there didn't seem to be a limit on the variations of powers people could possess...

His powers...weren't what was causing his current apparent melancholy though, but it was best for her to believe it was. He gave a nod at her words, that weirder abilities existed and to not feel bad though.

He still wasn't...okay... Selena frowned, her other hand leaving his as it moved up to his face as well. Both of them slipped into his hair and she pulled him down, her mouth wanting to touch his in a kiss. Maybe this...would help distract him?

He appreciated her words... but...he wasn't okay... How did she make him okay?

Luca's attention moved from the crystal city Selena had made to her hand as they slipped into his hair, his eyes moving to her directly as she pulled him down for a kiss.

This was...

He responded to it after a short moment, having not expected the action.

Selena kissed Luca for a good bit once he responded, wanting to distract him and make him happy. It possibly worked? She couldn't be sure as she pulled back, her eyes opening as she tried to smile again. "I care about you and want you to be happy. So here, let me distract you away from those sad thoughts...whatever they are."

She kissed him again, a much more heated kiss than the last...

Luca didn't respond to her words, not having much time to before she kissed him again; the kissing before had lasted awhile, but now it was more heated...

She was...trying to make him feel better, she wanted him to be happy...

This was...a distraction from his thoughts. He was...fine with that.

Selena was pretty good at distractions and rather firmly distracted Luca in a nicer direction than he had been thinking before with her mouth and...other things...

After they were finished with that though, the woman gently fed Luca the sweets he loved the most as she smiled down at him. She was sitting next to him on the beanbag, her sweater pulled over her but nothing else for now and she looked rather content. Luca was precious to her, she wanted to make him happy. Others didn't matter to her, only those she cared for...

Luca ate the sweets Selena offered him, distracted for now from his previous thoughts.

This was fine...just doing this, and enjoying his visit as they had originally planned on. He didn't need to...think about other things...for now, anyway.

The distraction had been a rousing success! Selena was pleased with herself and tried not to smile too much. That'd give it away. "Did you want to read up on more poisons now? I can show you the city more too or...well anything you'd wish of me Luca."

She continued feeding him sweets, some of those chocolate covered oranges as well.

Luca considered the options Selena had suggested for things they could do, more...research was to be done on the poisons, but it that city was also something of interest. He...was unable to think of much else that they could also do...

So...He decided to voice his thoughts.

"The poisons are something to be further researched, but the city is of interest as well..."

"We could do both, I can read the book for you and you can examine the city if you like. Any questions you have I could answer as well." Selena sat up and stretched, reaching for a book to pull it on her lap and read regardless of what Luca chose. If he wanted to just read that would be fine as well.

Both...

Then...They could do both; if he had questions he could ask them, when he was done examining the city, he could come and read himself some again with her. That...seemed like it would be fine.

"Alright..." Selena had already grabbed a book, so it seemed like she planned on reading regardless of his answer...

Smiling at the man, Selena leaned down and kissed him gently. "Go look then. I'll start reading aloud, I can interject then with other fun facts if I do that. You can get a history of Foxglove perhaps, though I hope you don't tire of my voice."

He could go look at the city and she would read aloud for him, there were lots of interesting little tidbits she'd picked up over the years that weren't in books. Reading like this was sure to rouse them all to the surface.

Luca managed....a small smile at her words; her suggestion was fine, he would not tire of anything, and her extra information on such contents would be helpful, and good to know.

He would inspect the city, that in mind he moved to stand, ready to step back over towards the table while Selena prepared herself to read. This would be fine...
