Psychic Trade Tricks (OPEN)

Making a pretty penny at a nearby casino, Tsuyoshi was in a good mood despite the early hour and amount of people out and about. This city was filled with parks and he had set up shop in one for fun, taking a small table and a cloth... And then putting a mysterious cloak on and taking out a worn tarot deck, setting it on the table.

Sometimes it was fun to be psychic, and this far from any large group of people he could mess around a bit. He had not clue how to read the damned thing, but he pretended...

Just had to get the person thinking on their problem, and normally a separate opinion of someone not distracted by the intricacies of it could help sort out how to deal or figure it out. Besides, when people focused on something like that it helped make his power bearable since it was a coherent stream of things instead of just random images and thoughts.

So with a "Troubled? A hundred Yen for a reading! Let the stars help you figure out solutions to your woes!" sign out in front of his little ramshackle stand, Tsuyoshi waited for a customer.

No book shopping today! All of her book shopping needs had been settled last week, now she was free to put her focus on other things she felt the need to get...such as food. Dinner tonight though...she was a bit worried she'd bought too much, they were favorite foods so...admittedly she'd probably bought more than she could eat in one meal.

Yakisoba-pan and curry buns...all in this nice big bag.

Today was a take it easy sort of day, no worries about cooking dinner or anything.

Ikue felt she would enjoy her meal at one of the picnic tables located in the park, it was a nice day after all!

There weren't many people around it seemed, just a select few scattered about, a little stand and...

"K...Kurosawa-san...?" Ikue blinked; she knew this stall person.

100 yen... Was... Did he need-No! She would not think about such a rude thing! Even if the worry had popped into her head, it still sounded like it was going to come out mean, and she didn't want any maybe-offending thoughts about the nice person she'd met one day and offered help to!

"Eh?" Tsuyoshi hadn't been paying much attention, the few thoughts nearby almost relaxing in how peaceful they were and thus he'd almost decided to take a nap. So at the sound of his last name, not something he expected, his head jolted up. Her thoughts went from food and picnic table to...thinking he was a hobo... and he winced slightly and rubbed his nose. She was really and oddly polite even in her head, he was sorta a hobo.

"Aaah its the nice umbrella lady. I...Iseri-san? Need a fortune?" He gave her a grin and patted his deck before settling the cloak around his shoulders. With a wink and a slight blush he pulled the hood up. "Today I am a fortune teller of mysteriousness. Shhh, shouldn't let my civilian identity get known, you know?"

He bought a finger up to his lips, holding it against his smile for a moment before... a soft flustered sound escaped him and he pulled the hood down more to hide.

A fortune?

Ikue blinked, though her eyes followed Tsuyoshi's hand as he patted the deck and settled the cloak he had on. Those words, plus the act he was putting on -- She couldn't help but give a small laugh of amusement.

She noticed the fluster that followed right after, but paid no heed to it as she placed 100 yen on his stand with a smile.

"Sure!"

Tsuyoshi took a moment to compose himself and then grinned up at her toothily before sliding the coin into his cloak. An acquaintance was one thing, but business was business~ Besides he'd do an extra good job for her on principal, she had nice thoughts after all.

"Okay~ So here's what you'll do. You will think on a problem you've been having lately, whether relationship or schooling or whatever it is you've had, and just keep thinking on it as I shuffle the cards. When I feel the right card has come to me I'll pull it from the deck as it wants and then read you the fortune or potential help the stars might give to you on said problem!" Tsuyoshi raised his arms above his head in a stretch before picking up the deck and giving Iseri another toothy grin. "Eh, its as simple as that. Sometimes the stars don't like to answer things or have helpful advice, so if nothing shows up that is fine we can ask a different problem and see if it can help~"

Ikue listened as Tsuyoshi explained what needed to be done and what he'd do, and she gave a nod; "Alright." She answered.

Think of a problem then...

Hm...

She had been having difficulty choosing where she would eventually branch off in her studies... Stars, galaxies...comets, black holes, there was so much! She'd have to choose and study on specifics soon though...even though she really enjoyed it all...

Tsuyoshi began shuffling with a grin on his face, ignoring the previous thoughts of him being a hobo! (Even if it was sorta true... in a weird way...)

Just focus on her thoughts!

Thoughts of schooling... Sheesh how was he to help with this!? She studied astronomy, as far as he was concerned that was out his poor league brain wise. He'd made it through highschool just fine but college? Painful.

She'd have to branch off though... He didn't even know all the different branches of astronomy...

Shuffling for a bit, he came up with a solution...

"All done! Lets see what the stars say about your problem Ikeri-san~" Tsuyoshi teased lightly, setting the deck down and then flipping the top card off with a flourish he learned from card games on motorcycles. It was the lovers! He had no idea what it meant, but he just smiled more and gave a thoughtful nod as his hand came up to his chin.

"I see... I seee... Well then, it seems your problem is a complicated one so I hope I can help." Tsuyoshi lied through his teeth as he tapped the card. "Whatever it is weighs heavy on your mind but it is important, so its not like you can just toss it aside or ignore it. Its important to your future, but there's tons of paths... The stars are saying to go with something closest to your heart, because the other paths won't be cut off. So its not an all or nothing decision! You can have your cake and eat it too."

Ikue was silent as Tsuyoshi went about shuffling the deck of cards, watching with interest as he attempted the fortune reading. She didn't know much about tarot cards, or their meanings, but i tall did seem really interesting!

When he announced he was done her attention went from the cards momentarily to him as she gave another smile.

She gave a nod; her problem was a bit complicated...she was really torn on her subjects...

He was right, she couldn't just ignore it or leave it be, it was a choice she had to eventually make. Tons of paths.... She should go with the one closest to her heart...

Ikue gave a small nod; "It'll require more thinking, but I think this helped! If I think about what's more important to me, I can go for that! You're right! It's not like I'll be unable to pursue my other path either so-!"

Tsuyoshi gave an internal sigh as he heard she had no idea about tarot cards. It made two of them.

Glad that his inference and vague words helped or at least didn't set her off in annoyance, the psychic gave her a playful grin. "Happy to be of service to such a cute and sweet woman~ Anything else I can do for you?"

His tone suggested other things that he couldn't help but blush at, not meaning that in the least as he then moved to cower in his arms on the table while making soft sounds. He hadn't...meant it...

R-Red face, ignore the the burning face, ig-ignore it and it will stop! Ikue couldn't help it, she was too easily flustered and such words triggered the ignition of the fire!

E-Eh!?

O-Obviously h-his tone had suggested, but...but Tsuyoshi didn't mean such things his...his reaction now said so obviously! Th-They were both flustered now though, w-wh...wh-what to do to fix...

Without really thinking on it, Ikue reached into the large bag of food she carried and pulled out a curry bun, holding out to the currently flustered Tsuyoshi.

"M-Might be...a-a bit spicy...but..."

Tsuyoshi didn't need eyes to see the red on Ikue's face, hearing her thoughts and just knowing... They both were flustered messes. At least she understood he hadn't meant it and just let it drop, though... Bun?

He popped up, red eyes confused as they went from her hand to the woman but that was just in character. Iseri-san was a sweetheart...

"...thanks..." His voice was quiet and obviously ashamed as he spoke... And with a soft sigh he accepted the bun, carefully taking it from her hand without touching skin. Spicy was his favorite... He then tried to ignore his still red face.

"W-Welcome..." Ikue replied, giving a small nod as Tsuyoshi accepted the bun; "I-I bought lots... Aha, my eyes were bigger than my stomach today."

Cooking could be fun, and she was a good cook, but it was nice to take it easy with all of that every once in awhile...so...that's why she had all this food...and too much of it.

Tsuyoshi gave her a smile before he took another bite, not knowing how hungry he was until that first bite. He devoured it in a few bites, ignoring the running commentary in her head about cooking and gave a sharp nod. "Here, the bench is open if you wanna sit. I'll definitely share your buns~"

....Red faced, Tsuyoshi looked away and covered his mouth. His stupid traitorous mouth.

I-Ignore the blush, ignore the blush... Much like last time, attempting to ignore the blush did not help it vanish as she gave a small nod, moving to seat herself on the bench Tsuyoshi had mentioned.

"H-Here, have another." Reaching into the bag, she handed him another one of the curry buns, he'd eaten the first one fast so he must be hungry.

T-Tsuyoshi didn't mean for anything to come out badly, she believed that fully.

She pulled out one for herself, taking a small bite from it and giving a smile; these were definitely good! She was really glad she'd gotten them now.

She really had to stop thinking about the blush because it was making Tsuyoshi feel like blushing more. He just adjusted the hood of his ~mysterious~ cape/cloak and looked away after accepting the bun. At least she'd sat near him and he took a bite and chewed and swallowed before motioning. "You can put your bag and stuff on the table. No one'll bother it."

Spicy~

Iseri-san really...believed in his...not saying this stuff on purpose and it caused more blushing from him, instead he decided to focus on the bun and spice... Delicious...

"Okay, thank you." Ikue did as suggested, putting the large bag on the table; it was hot due to the heated, and freshly cooked food so it would be good to not keep holding it. Plus, her hands were free now for her to eat with.

Another smile came up as she took another bite from the curry bun; yup, definitely better like this~!

"Do you do this type of thing a lot? T-The future readings, if you don't mind me asking?"

"Welcome sweetheart~" Tsuyoshi blushed more and leaned over his bun to hide his face. He needed to apologize...say something...anything... "S-Sorry... I can't...its like a tic..."

He stuffed the bun in his mouth fully before realizing he had to answer her question and got a panicked look in his eyes, while waving his arms a bit as he turned to face Iseri-san. It took him a few moments but he finally chewed enough to swallow it and then...shook his head. "Not a lot, no. I just get bored sometimes and do this for little pocket change."

A nice safe subject...

"I-It's fine." Ikue replied, giving another small nod as if to confirm her previous words.

So he did this for fun, that made sense... it had been a little fun just on her end of things so she could see why he'd take this up if he were bored!

"I see, I've never really stopped to have something like that done before; it was a little fun." She replied.

With years of practice Tsuyoshi ignored the thoughts that were irrelevant to what he was thinking and just accepted her vocal words. At least she had accepted his apology...

Taking another bite, he thought for a moment and grinned. "I was your first then? Well how nice. I've never been anyone's first~"

He stuffed the bun in his mouth to shut himself up and then pulled his hood down more.

Ikue was glad to have her mouth to the curry bun right now otherwise a squeak would have come out, a very flustered one. She gave a nod though, knowing what he meant...it'd just come out the wrong way.

"Y-Y-Yeah, I've never...I-I've seen people doing this sort of stuff, b-but I just never s-stopped to really s-see."

Tsuyoshi's shame felt no bounds. His mouth needed to stop speaking... stop everything... She was too adorable and sweet to be dealing with someone like this, like him. He who was somehow secretly a giant flirting pervert who deserved... all sorts of bad things...

"I-Its fun... if you like things like that... I-I just do it cause its...ironic you know?" Tsuyoshi's mouth rambled against his will and just reached into the bag for another bun to shut himself up.

"Hm? Ironic...?" Ikue questioned, glancing over to him before taking another bite from the curry bun. "It was a little fun, I'd never thought about...really taking part in stuff like that...with tarot readings and all..."

"Yeah just... yeah..." Cursing his slip of the mouth, Tsuyoshi just nodded and took more bites of delicious spicy buns. It was a good distraction. "Maybe you should? I mean I bet there's more out there, way better than me."

And probably knew what they were doing and not cheating. Yeah... real tarot readers...

With no explanation on the ironic comment, Ikue tilted her head slightly in question, though she was unable to say anything due to the bun having been brought back to her mouth.

She wasn't going to push him for answers though, if it was weird to explain or hard to well...that was that then...

"M-Maybe...though you did help some! I think I've been worrying too much on it...so your words were good to hear!"

Despite Ikue's curiosity, Tsuyoshi didn't elaborate. He didn't need that can of worms opening up with an admittedly nice and attractive woman, but one he barely knew. Instead he smiled and waved his hand. "Eeh, glad my vague words and. Shifty way of doing it could help you even a bit. If you ever need more readings or just someone to talk it out with, I'll do my damnedest."

It he was still in town and if he was available... she was nice and had nice thoughts. There was no way he'd turn her down for a lot of things. Finishing the bun, he licked his fingers and was careful of his teeth. "I've never gone to college though so I might not be much help in that department."
