Who the hell is THAT?

"It would be best for me to... If I'm gone for too long she'll likely worry..." Luca was mostly mumbling to himself about that last statement, though it was still perfectly within earshot of the other male.

It was best though...

If he were to be gone too long he'd likely be getting calls soon from Selena, he didn't want her to become concerned because he had suddenly disappeared from his waiting spot.

Thane nodded. "Yeah, that makes sense, don't keep her waiting." He said, gesturing for Luca to leave. He blinked, pausing for a second before raising a finger. "Uhhh... Who's 'she'?" He asked, a grin slowly spreading on his face. He smelled something embarrassing... or at least secret.

He did like prying into secrets. "So were you lying before then?" He wondered, eyes narrowing. He didn't truly suspect anything bad of Luca. He was nosy however. TERRIBLY nosy!

"I feel like it violates an act of good faith if I don't know the real reason you're here.." He said with a sardonic chuckle.

"I'm escorting..." He did not believe this was something that could be classified under the modern term that was a date. He had brought Selena here for shopping, and he'd looked at things himself, but they were doing so separately for the most part.

So...he did not believe this could be considered as such.

"I did not lie, I'm doing my shopping and also escorting; I sensed a strong presence and came to investigate. I cannot be a proper escort if I cannot protect as well... That said, I didn't want to see harm coming to any of the other humans around either."

He hadn't been lying, he had been giving the truth... He had simply left out small details.

He was... escorting... shopping... He sensed a presence and came to investigate... Wait... Arrancar can garganta. Wouldn't he have taken her away? Unless she was shopping and he..

"Heh.. haha.." Thane suppressed his laughter but not entirely, before grinning from ear to ear. He understood now!

"Haaaaah, your girlfriend is dragging you around shopping!" He called derisively, pointing at Luca with another laugh.

"...." At Thane's assumption, Luca gave a polite cough and turned his head; "I am looking at things myself... She is the one mainly shopping, but there is no shame in my waiting on her..."

It wasn't a problem to him at all, he had entertained himself with some reading while he'd been waiting on her to finish her book shopping...

Thane grinned, seizing upon Luca's embarrassment, or at least perceived embarrassment. "Oh, no of course not! Say, what do you say, I came to meet her?" He said, grinning, his voice with a tone of... not danger, but he was clearly up to some form of shenanigans.

"I'd like to meet more Arrancar. It's another of the Espada, right? Who is it? That freaky shadow chick? The Corona? Uhhh, there was another. A fox girl or some shit?" He was by no means an expert on the other species' officers.

"She is not..." She was not an arrancar, and while he was mostly assured Thane was no threat towards this area, he would rather not bring the male to meet her... He was unsure of how she would take such a meeting, probably not kindly and he would rather not give her any stress.

This man though...he'd heard of Esmerelda, and the Corona... Fox girl...?

"She is no arrancar, nor is she another hollow..." It was safe to share that at least...so long as he didn't give her actual identity.

"Hey. Nothing wrong with cavorting with humans." He said with a little shrug. He certainly didn't think there was. And while he was just burning with curiosity to see Luca's lady friend, Luca seemed... inherently hesitant to do so. He could press on, but... he'd already done all this work towards good will or whatever. "Or shinigami if that's what she is." He just sort of assumed human, forgot sometimes Shinigami were a thing. Hrm. Were bounts humans? He wasn't sure... Didn't seem like something he should ask Naki.

"Well, you'd better be getting back to her, yeah?" He wondered aloud, coming back from being lost in thought.

Luca gave a nod; "I should be..."

It would be best for him to get back, his previous thoughts returning; it wouldn't do any good to raise her concerns. He would be at the bench where he'd been waiting, it shouldn't take him too long to return.

"I will be going then... I was pleased to discover there was no cause for concern." It was good Thane hadn't been a true threat, he would rather not have fought...and luckily hadn't.

No sassing, no exit assholery, Thane. You did good. Just be polite and leave.

Ugggghghghghghghhhgggggghhhhhh. But he wanted to say something dickish then run awaaaay. Fiiine.

"Sure thing. Take care with that bottle. I don't think you or your human gal want to deal with it." It wasn't PARTICULARLY strong, but if his girlfriend was too weak, it could be dangerous. He walked briskly to the edge of the roof and turned to face Luca.

"Well. Have a nice day. Say hi to the Corona for me." He gave a salute and fell backwards off the roof, using his sigil to dimension hop out.

"I'll be sure to take caution..." Luca nodded at Thane's advice about the bottled hollow, he was unsure of its power level, but it was likely troublesome. He would see about it in time, though whether or not he'd open it was another ordeal.

He did wonder slightly what would happen if one were to shake it...

Thane disappeared soon after giving his goodbye, and Luca turned his eyes up to the sky after the man's departure. Say hello to the Corona...simple enough...

For now, it was time to return to Selena...

Leaving the roof, he quickly made his way back to the bench where he'd been waiting.
