PostSubject: Praise be the Prosciutto & Doctoring   Praise be the Prosciutto & Doctoring I_icon_minitimeWed Jul 08, 2015 12:21 am

The day hadn't been quite as long as he'd expected, but then again it was only a little past noon... He'd picked up the things he'd needed though, the more important things anyway...

Luca adjusted his hold on the bag he had in hand, filled with a few small medical texts as well as a fresh stock of bandages, wrap, and the like -- he'd needed to gather more -- he was the one that typically used up the bandages considering what it took to create the concoctions that was his medicine.

He'd just made quite the batch last night, and thus under his sleeves his arms were wrapped quite a bit.

Now that the important shopping had been done anyway, he'd decided to take a break...having exited one of the nearby food buildings humans typically used...quite frequently by the traffic and had picked up a sandwich of sorts...no, they'd called it a burger; it was a prosciutto burger from one of the fast food establishments.

It certainly wouldn't taste as good as authentic, but he'd seen it on the menu and had figured why not? and thus had picked it up. He rarely attempted fast food from the human world...so these were smaller new experiences.

As per usual, his violin case was also with him, but he had yet to set it down and play it...he'd brought it simply because he felt more comfortable doing so...

Tsuyoshi stood there staring at the horrifying monster in front of him, the horrific and horrible monster in front of him. How in the hell was he supposed to deal with this!? His life was over, it was all over and this was how it was going to end...

The cute, adorably fluffy little masked thing that wasn't even as tall as his godsdamned kneecap dove for his leg and Tsuyoshi yelped and dove back. That sound drew stares, as did the waving of his leg since no one else could see the thing... but nothing he did was dislodging the little monster thing.

It had been following him all day before finally, with the weirdest hearts in its black, soulless eyes, it had decided on this. And now he was stuck... Trying to walk away and hopefully dislodge it as it just fell off eventually from wearing itself out, he found that it was way heavier than initial estimates had let him think. So now his leg dragged as if lamed...

"Shoo! Shoo go away!" Tsuyo said in a grumpy whisper, looking around and trying to keep the stares to a minimum as he drug his leg along with the hollow down the street.

This...burger wasn't so bad, he supposed -- it could do with a lesser taste of grease perhaps, but...apparently that was something humans really enjoyed... So who was he to judge? Besides that, it was pretty alright.

He preferred authentic prosciutto, certainly, but...

Hn?

Luca looked up, burger in mouth as he'd just been about to take another bite before sensing a presence of sorts as well as that of a hollows; he blinked, finally noticing the source of it.

A young male, perhaps early adulthood was dragging his leg down the street as if injured to the normal eye, but...on it was a...rather small hollow. Luca had to wonder how one of that size managed to worm its way out without getting devoured...

With another blink, he escaped his thoughts and swallowed the bite of his food in his mouth as the man neared.

"...If you would like...I can remove that...?" He questioned, looking down to the creature -- the man seemed to be struggling, but for all he knew this was a human who might be using the thing as a leg weight for some sort of odd muscle training...for only one leg...? Hn...

Tsuyoshi decided that a crowbar was appropriate, a goddamn crowbar and he was going to pry the stupid thing from his leg and toss it into the trash where it belonged.

Slam dunk it more like. His determined and grumpy eyes trailed back down though as something caught his eyes... There... were there hearts rising up from it!? Was it snuggling more!?

...WAS IT CRAWLING UP HIS LEG!?

A voice sounded nearby though, aimed at him and Tsuyoshi looked up in shock, his mind immediately turning on his powers to begin reading the mind of the new person. Oddly enough, he couldn't entirely despite how close they were... Though he really was catching enough for it to be coherent.

"Fuck no! I mean... Yes, get it off. But just... Fuck no I am not training with this. Just my godsdamned luck to run into something else..." This person in front of him wasn't human but if the offer of help turned out to be true...

Tsuyoshi bent down and attempted to pry the little monkey more, failing to yank it off.

At the man's excalmation Luca's eyes widened just slightly -- he did not want it of- oh... He wasn't training with it then, he would have hoped not considering it would be counterproductive to just train with a single leg rather than both...

Wait, he'd thought that thought... Oh, his powers must be along the lines of mind reading, perhaps? That was Luca's first guess, human powers were quite ranged when it came to high specs and fullbringers... This one was a high spec though, as he could sense no taint of hollow within him.

He wanted this hollow off though, and he gave a small nod and folded the paper over the burger in his hand enough so that it was covered before stepping off to one of the rest areas nearby, motioning the man to follow.

"It would be easier where there is less of a crowd, it doesn't look like it's bitten through; it's just...quite attached." Luca stated, crouching down once possible to examine the hollow before reaching towards it without any concern at all to attempt to pull it off of the redhead.

"Yes, hi spec whatevers. Also yes to counter productive to just train one leg? I just... I think I'm more confused than fucking ever now." Tsuyoshi just grumbled, unable to even process the fact that this person's thoughts were the weirdest fucking ones he'd run across in a long time.

Not only could they see the hollow, they were immediately helpful in removing it? They just put away their burger, turned and headed somewhere more private. Normally Tsuyo might be a bit wary but he was annoyed enough with the little annoying leech on his leg that he just drug his leg behind him with a grimace and followed.

"I don't know what I'd do if it bit me, but just get it off will you?" He was being a brat, a whiny brat but this was such a pain. Why the hell had it attached to him anyways!? Tsuyoshi stood still, watching as the man knelt and began to pry the thing off. It wasn't given a choice and whined as it was yanked off, the man's power too much, though it did continue to reach for Tsuyo in a 'gimme' like manner while squirming in the other man's hand.

Shaking his leg out, Tsuyo gave the dark haired weird man a lopsided grin and a nod. "Ah, thanks..."

"I apologize for the confusion..." Luca stated, managing to pry the hollow off of the man's leg before standing again. He held the hollow in his grasp with a single arm, much like one would a cat or other small animal.

He supposed he could return it to the deserts, though it was likely to just get killed out there considering its size...but there really wasn't much he could do, he had no plans of taking in a hollow, none whatsoever.

Once back in the deserts it'd likely remember its urge to eat.

"Welcome, it wasn't a problem... Is your leg injured though? It may not have bitten you, but it's best to be sure -- ah, excuse me, I'm a doctor. Luca is my name..."

"Erm...what?" Tsuyoshi stared blankly as the man pried the hollow off of him, unable to process the apology from them over the confusion. That man...was apologizing for that? His eyes followed him as he stood up with the hollow and just couldn't deal with how weird he was. Looking at his clothes too... Was he some sort of cosplayer? Was... there something he was missing here? A character he couldn't recognize or something...

This was worse than the lil shit he sometimes got his ass beat with. The hollow just hung now limply in Luca's arm, uncaring anymore at its pathetic life.

Tsuyo was startled once again as the weird vampire man spoke up and introduced himself with a very western name, though that made sense and once more reinforced the whole vampireness of him. His crimson eyes trailed down to his leg and he moved it experimentally, still shocked beyond belief but felt nothing beyond a minor twinge. "Eh, I've had worse. Well Sensei, sorry for being so uh... Pissy towards ya. I'll just rest it the rest of the day to make sure its fine."

...Wait introductions! Tsuyo brought a hand up to his face and scratched his cheek. "Oh yea, sorry. I'm Kurosawa Tsuyoshi, a uh... Hi spec thingy. So you're one of these people too then?"

"You mentioned confusion... I suppose it was due to the thoughts you read from me." The male's earlier words on the leg work out thing had confirmed he had some sort of ability to read one's thoughts...so he supposed the thoughts he'd read had caused the confusion.

Thus...the apology.

"It's alright, if it's sore though I have some bandages you can use, I recently purchased a new stock of them here..." If he thought it might help, he could use the bandage or bandage wrap for it...

The introduction got another nod, "It's nice to meet you, and yes...I suppose I am, my official title is the Tricera Espada, but I mean no disturbance with it...as I said, I'm a doctor."

His purpose was to help, not harm.

"...You...apologized for me reading your mind and getting confused because I was invading your privacy?" Tsuyoshi found himself more dumbfounded by the moment, unable to process the thoughts of the man standing in front of him. He just felt he owed the mind reader, truly felt he owed the mind reader, an apology for this?

Reaching a hand up to his forehead, he brushed back hair and just felt another headache growing.

These weird spirit people were all headaches, pains, super pains!

On top of that he wanted him to wrap it?! Tsuyoshi groaned and shook his head. "No thanks Sensei, it's sore but it'll be fine with rest."

Seriously he was good! All good!

"Eh? Three sword? Why does that sound familiar... Blegh. I guess its fine? I mean I don't get what that is but you are a doctor, so its good with me." Though an impressive doctor if he was just wandering around like this, carrying a violin and bags of stuff on top of the hollow and food. Help, not harm? Whatever he was, was something dangerous but he seemed harmless enough. "Y-Yeah. It's nice... to meet you..."

"I suppose...though the thoughts you seemed to catch weren't exactly private ones, so I'm not bothered by the fact that they were read." Overall, he really didn't have that many secrets, something as trivial as questioned thoughts being read was nothing...

At the refusal of the bandages though, he gave yet another small nod; "Alright, at most depending on how tight this hollow was holding you it may just be a bit of an annoyance for a day or so...so I would assume you'll be better in no time."

Three Sword, well...he'd translated the title rather literally...but yes, that was what it meant.

"It's alright, Espada and Tricera are simply my title and ranking; unless a bit of studying is done I don't believe it's well known." Though there were those pamphlets he'd once set eyes on before, but he hadn't ever really looked into one...

"I'll, um, try not to read the private ones then. Sorry, its just ah instinct at this point." Why'd he have to go and be so...freaking nice about this? Like he immediately knew Tsuyoshi was a mind reader, though really the man didn't hide it too much around others like them now. Maybe he should be more careful due to the governments though...?

"Y-Yeah, it'll be fine. Definitely. I'll rest up and be all good soon, Sensei." Tsuyoshi scratched his cheek and looked away again, not really able to deal with the minor fluster he was beginning to get over the man's worry. Well the thingy? He was a thingy, those thingys so... Not a man?

... Definitely a man.

"They are the things, the uh...masked humans? That aren't like us but...are? I sorta know, but like its still weird to hear spanish coming from... Ah someone here in japan? Just yeah." Tsuyoshi looked like a dumbass, a literal dumbass as he became rather tongue tied over this whole thing. He... just ignored this stuff usually, it wasn't vital to him and now he looked so stupid... "A... kid I know tries to teach me but I end up forgetting most of it. He likes pummeling me into the sparring mats and stuff."

"It's alright, since I recognized and at least grasped what your abilities were I know not to let private thoughts slip. If it's by instinct then it can be troublesome to simply control." Nothing to concern himself over...

The soreness, as well as he'd said, shouldn't last long either. He wasn't sure how long the hollow had been attached, but it couldn't have been that long.

"Good, and correct...though I'm afraid we're not exactly human -- we were, but in the past... Arrancar with a solid head on their shoulders are typically fine to interact with... As for the language, it's a relief I'm well-versed in both otherwise Italian wouldn't get me very far here...

It's good you at least know what you do, not many that are spiritually aware are able to learn such information...it helps keep them safer...knowing, that is..."

A kid? Pummeling him... Well, it was good to get training so long as one didn't overdo it.

"So long as training isn't overdone it'll certainly come of use..."

"Y-Yeah... Someone a few months back gave me something to turn it off... S-Still feel weird without it though so I have to...you know... leave it on sometimes." He was so fucking lame, seriously. Tsuyoshi felt out of sorts and weird, this guy was just completely fine with mind reading and just decided to not let his own private ones out.

Not that Tsuyo would pry or even acknowledge them, least in someone as nice as this.

Still the red head shrugged, red head ignoring the deepest dark black brown that was growing from the base of his skull at the moment. Which was where Tsuyoshi found his hand, sliding through the dual colored locks as he turned back to look at Luca. "Well...you act human. Hell more than human, way nicer than a ton of Humans I've met so that counts for something ya know? I'd say you're human, moreso than even some of those that don't deserve the term."

Wait...Italian, Japanese and Spanish!?

"Yeah, Italian won't do a lick of good. I only know enough Spanish to get by, sometimes I get letters from family is all. Err, wait what? You come here...specifically. Why?" Why would he come here at all, Tsuyo's tone asked as he stared...

Before remembering manners and responding. "Ah, the training is fine. Not overdone. He's just way too strong for a punkass grumpy kid. I learned a lot and its fun. I guess that spirit stuff's helped, but I'm not..."

Feeling tongue tied again, his eyes darted down to the sandwich and he groaned softly and ruffled up his hair more. "Gods, whoops. You were eatin'. I should leave ya be, just must be a pain stopping mid meal like that and all."

Messing up so badly! Couldn't he just...die right now?

"That's good, at least you have some form of control over it if you hadn't had it before, it must have given you some peace of mind..." It seemed that way, anyway, from what had been said; if he'd had no control over it before it must have been quite stressful.

Hn? He...acted human? He would hope, at the very least, if not he wasn't doing much of a job at blending in on his visits...

"That's a relief to hear, I would at least like to seem so when I come here." Luca answered, this time a small smile appearing. He was doing well at blending in, even for his short visits; that was really good.

Italian wouldn't do him any good in Japan, and he nodded again in agreement to that statement before moving on to the question that'd been asked. "I typically stop by many countries, and cities... I need to stock up on some basic supplies for my work, and often times I see about other research as well, such as finding new music scores to play, and food to try..."

At least the training was fun, and if it wasn't overdone then that was good. When it came to a town like this, a town with an abundance of the spiritually aware, hollows often stuck around...so it was good for one to know self defense or how to outsmart or flee one...the training also helped deal with unruly humans as well that sought harm...

"That's good to hear, so long as it's fun and you're learning... Hn? Oh...I suppose I was..." Luca looked down to the wrapped burger in one of his hands, "It's alright, though, you don't need to feel bad about that. Food isn't required for me, if you were concerned about that, it's just interesting to taste... The authentic compared to this though is quite preferred...but it's not bad. This first taste of Human World fast food wasn't a bad experience..."

"Mhm..." Definitely peace of mind making, but just Tsuyoshi felt less peace of mind standing here like a dumbass. Should he just turn it off? He felt like a brute now, invading some nobleman's inner sanctum or something.

Tsuyo still caught the person's thoughts before looking up to see a small smile. ...He seriously needed some sort of emergency or something... Where was Ikue when he needed her!? His hair was a mess now and he just stared off to the side after a second. "I-I think you are. Like inside too. It's not an act. humanity's more than just... yeah..."

"Oh wow a real renaissance man then? Music and doctoring... On top of traveling all over. Sounds fun actually." Giving an impressed whistle, he was distracted from the previous talk for a moment and gave a grin as his hand moved down to his pocket. He slipped them both in to warm them up and leaned back a bit on his heels, feeling more and more impressed and a bit flustered still over that.

Well yeah as far as training went, they both needed to keep in shape and it was best against someone else really. Plus it kept them both moving, though it had to be carefully managed or else that lil chipper girlfriend of his would show up and stare. Stare way too much. "Yeah no worries on that end..."

"Ah, well I guess I should just...let ya go and all that? It's cold out and I'm keeping ya from your work with arms full. Wait first taste of fast food?" Grinning wolfishly, he shook his head in amusement. "You went for the good stuff first? Eeeh, thats not a true authentic fast food experience. And even if ya don't need to eat, its nice to enjoy it right? So it shouldn't be ruined."

Inside as well...? That was...good, then, very much so. If he felt human both inside and out... It was a relief, in all honesty considering what he was.

"I suppose...I am from that era, as I've learned it's called...though I was...no musician then, unfortunately, but just a doctor. I've only just started to travel, now that I have the ability to..."

Now that he could use gargantas he could go wherever he pleased. It was quite convenient.

Luca blinked though as the food was brought up again, looking down at the burger before his eyes returned to Tsuyoshi. "It is...not an authentic experience?"

It was a fast food establishment he'd gone to...he had thought any would do...he...supposed not? Tsuyoshi was a human, so...Luca felt he would know more than he about an authentic fast food experience.

"It...is nice to enjoy it, even if it's not necessary."

Tsuyoshi stared blankly for a moment as the man took his words to heart and treated the term as literally meaning from that period in western history. He literally was from that era, go fucking figure. A doctor from back then?

Holy fucking shit what the hell had he gotten into!?

Now that he could travel...

"T-Travel...really nice yeah. I-I just moved here a few months back, haven't left the country once though." Ahahaha, yeah that was good just compare yourself to a living relic. Greaaat.

Least this topic of conversation was better suited to Tsuyo's expertise and he gave a wolfish grin, revealing sharpish teeth. "Yeah, thats like high end versions. Its not what you normally get  if you go for fast food. I mean some people do, but its not what the layman would most often. Prosciutto is expensive, yea?"

"Well that's like how proscuitto is to just normal, run of the mill bacon. More class, more money spent. You want true experience with that'll give you a better idea of the stuff, go to McDymaids." Lifting his hands to his mouth, he blew on them in a soft cloud of condesation to warm em before rubbing them together. "You are getting spoiled getting that, you may not enjoy the cheaper stuff but it won't be a shock to you if you have the average shit first. No unrealistic expectations."

Tsuyoshi seemed a bit taken aback, but... Luca supposed it was a natural response -- normally one did not encounter someone from another era, the surprise was understandable and thus he waited patiently for the man to come out of his shock.

"It's nice to be where you're most relaxed, one's home is certainly the best for that... I mostly travel to see friends, or like today, stock up on things needed for my job."

This was a high end version though... This burger had come from Bendy's, and well...he supposed for fast food it'd been a bit pricey, but...he had money so it hadn't been an issue.

"It is typically expensive, more than what it'd cost today, but this is still an alright meal... It's best to try the lower quality establishments first though...so one's hopes aren't set high... I see..." Luca gave a nod at this information, taking Tsuyoshi's advice seriously -- the man was much more experienced when it came to knowledge on fast food than he after all.

"I...uh don't have a home anymore. Yeah so its... I guess traveling is my home now. I'm most relaxed um..." Tsuyoshi shrugged and brought the hand he was trying to warm up back to his hair to floof it awkwardly again. He was most relaxed... well away from anyone else, or for some reason wrapped up in stupid space blankets drinking hot cocoa from a stupid space mug and watching stupid k-dramas about a psychologist who was helping a man with split personalities deal with his messed up existence.

"You have a lot of friends then, all over the world? Sounds cool." Seriously he should just shut up, it was cold out, and just head to his craptastic apartment or something.

This person was taking him seriously though and Tsuyoshi felt he should flee far, far away. He wasn't made for this whole helping out others and giving advice shit and he sorta fidgeted on his feet a bit. "I mean... You want to have real fast food, right? Cheap is normally the way to go if you are and then just uh, work your way up. If you just wanted better food, might as well go somewhere else."

He...had no home? That sounded...quite sad, but...if he was pleased with his travels then that was a bright side? At least there were inn's and cheaper apartments...he'd learned about those when he'd been reading up on the modern Human World.

If he couldn't afford an inn though or an apartment...no, no...if he was traveling then he should have enough for such things. Traveling was quite expensive after all...

"I see, it must be fun at times, traveling being one's life..." Luca commented, though shook his head at Tsuyoshi's following words. "I'm...not that familiarized with very many, I see someone in Canada whom recently moved to France or...is in the process of moving, and a couple of spiritually aware humans here I met."

Hibiki and Miyako... He wasn't exactly fond of Hibiki, not exactly, but the girl's brightness was charming to be around. That shopping trip had been a bit...fun, if he were to put it into words, even if he was just carrying things for the two women.

"Other than that...I'm only somewhat acquainted to those I work with..."

If he wanted real fast food though...he needed to be cheap... After the cheap things it was wisest to work one's way up, that way he knew the worst of it...and could work towards better things.

"That sounds logical, it's a smart way of avoiding disappointment in the later run..."

Tsuyoshi flinched at Luca's thoughts, his hair ruffling growing more. He'd need a brush when he got to his place, definitely, otherwise it'd be a freaking tangled mess ugh. Cheap apartments were totally fine... Didn't need no place he would stay settled in for too long...

And it was only expensive if you traveled in style or had things to worry about really. Not...too much trouble if you didn't have bills or other things holding you back.

"It is a bit fun, yea." Kinda hard on the whole friends thing, but he didn't really need or want those sooo whatever. Though honestly he was shocked the man didn't have too many... Wait huh!? Tsuyo stepped back, staring again in a bit of shock before giving a chuckle and relaxing his stance again. "Wow small world. The one who pummels me is the grump lord you aren't too fond of. He's fun to tease, thoughts all hilarious and stuff. Shopping...trip, with the little sparkle queen? Wait, sorry that's prying."

Seriously his curiosity had gotten the better of him for a second as he blurted that all out. Instead he backpedaled and tried to his his embarrassment by turning a bit to the side. "Three-ish friends is better than nothin' for ya... And so are work friends too."

It was nice Luca understood about the whole fast food stuff and his grin returned in full force as it helped chase his embarrassment away. "That and knowing what to avoid in the future too if you're on a time table ya won't get somethin' awful. Least that's what I do, try new places in the area so I always know where to go in an emergency food run."

Hn? Tsuyoshi seemed shocked for a moment, and Luca had to wonder why until the redhead began to speak. Oh, so the one he trained with was Hibiki... Truly, it was a small world then. "I see... So he's the one you train with... and yes, I mostly carried around the things that were bought; that was a few months back... It's alright, it's nothing that private, I wouldn't think..."

His job as a carrier hadn't been anything big, so he hadn't really minded that Tsuyoshi had read that.

Luca did nod at his words though, three-ish friends were better than nothing, as well as his work acquaintances. It all counted...

"You're right, it is better..." For someone that lived in complete solitude before...this life was certainly more bright.

When it came to fast food, trying the bad would let him avoid it in the future as well, again, he took this advice to heart. "That makes sense, there are...certainly many establishments in this city it would be a shame to get something of bad taste when in a rush..."

Yes...that...would truly be unpleasant.

"A-Ah... Yea, must be um... nice. Glad you enjoyed it. She's the one who did the thing to help me control my powers actually." Tsuyoshi tried to reply in a coherent manner while reaching up to poke at the tattoo over his eye, but Luca was just ruinworthy at this point. He accepted and didn't mind the thought reading.

Speaking of... "...Solitude blows a lot. But I'm too used to it. Glad you at least enjoy others..."

Mind reading made him isolated for most of his life so it was hard to adapt to being around others now. Least Luca seemed happy with it and... pleased...?

Just stop thinking about him! Tsuyo pushed aside his thoughts and tried his best to deal while failing utterly. Maybe he should just leave...

"I should just... um go now? Y-You can enjoy all your day and things..." Tsuyoshi was completely out of sorts now, just unable to deal with this man. Luca was just listening to him, accepting his words as irrefutable proof!

His admittedly silly reasonings! It was hard to just stand here in the cold and... and talk to this person with their nice thoughts.

Luca gave a nod, remembering what Miyako's powers were capable of. It certainly was amazing, being able to heal, and make so many different things. She used her abilities to the best of what she could use them for... Helping others, and healing them...

"Her powers are certainly incredible. I'm glad she could help you in such a way." Not being able to control mind reading abilities... He could imagine how stressful that may be, but...if he could control them now then that was good.

As for solitude... "It...is certainly lonely, it makes me happy to know I have others here as well...hn? Alright, it is cold out... I would hate for you to become ill from keeping you out here for too long, but.... Thank you, for the advice; I'll be sure to keep it in mind when I go about trying more food."
